Questions prior to purchasing mods...
Hey there,
I am about to purchase my suspension, tires and all the odds and ends I think I'll need. I just want to make sure I'm ordering everything needed so I don't miss something, also need some opinions.
So, I am planning on a Rock Krawler 2.5 max travel. Northridge Canada offers a package of bilstein shocks, bumpstops and front spring retainers for $400 that I will also be ordering. I am not buying new wheels yet and will run spidetrax spacers with my stock rubicon wheels and am ordering 315/70/17 duratracs.
Lastly, I am ordering the teraflex HD tire carrier. Here is where I am a little unsure. I understand that the stock rubicon wheel with a 315/70/17 duratrac will not fit on the teraflex carrier and need a spacer. Am i better off ordering another set of spidertrax and using one for the spare? Northridge also carries an MBRP spare tire relocation bracket but i think this is just for use on the tailgate correct? Also, will I need new rubber bumpstops for the tailgate with the teraflex carrier and the duratrac with stock rubicon rim?
Am I missing anything? are there any odds and ends that I need to order?
Thanks a lot...

Thanks for the replies. I don't know why I didn't think of adding the adjustable carrier. I seem to remember reading that there were some issues with the carrier cracking. Has this been resolved?
What about the rest of my order...any other things I may want to consider adding to make sure it's done as right as possible the first time?

Are you referring to the factory carrier cracking or the Teraflex carrier cracking? I've had the Teraflex carrier w/the adjustable mount on my rig for a year now (holding a 315/70-17) with no issues.
Just did some searching and is was definitely the teraflex carrier though it seems to have been resolved and was an issue with early models. So, you're running the same size tire I want...you using stock wheels?
The teraflex site mentions that if you're running a stock wheel you'll need a spacer and slight modification. Anyone know why a spacer would be needed if you buy the adjustable carrier and what slight modification would be needed?

Sorry our website out of date and we are working on a new website. If your using a stock wheel then you will need our #1055005 spacer to clear the gussets on the adjustable mount.
Am I able to use a spacer with the stock wheel and stock carrier with your hinge to save on buying the adjustable carrier?
Yes, I'm running the same size tire you want, but no, my stock wheels were gone three days after I bought my rig.
