Vote for BFG. Did great, yet again, in our ice storm this weekend. I have about 45k miles and tread should go another 25k+

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Goodyear MT/R's 35x12.5R15
Just picked up a set from the local Goodyear shop for $179 each (after rebate). Great ride and control even at 85 down the interstate!

2013 Wrangler Sport; 35x12.5R15 Goodyear MTR's; 18/60 Rubicon springs & shocks; Lots of trimming

-35 Pro Comp Xtreme M/T2
-35 BFGoodrich TA Mud Terrain
I know guys that run all 3 and don't have any major problems with any of them. They all work the same when aired down on the trail. Of those three I would probably try the coopers or the MT2's.

Yes they wear out fast and are loud but they hook up and are very tough tires off road. I wouldn't put them on a Jeep that you drive on the street much.

I think "fast" is a relative term. I've run Mickey Thompson Claws which I was told would wear "fast" and that they would be slick in no time at all. I was good with 4 tire rotations and then I began to slack with school getting in the way.

That being said- I had 36k miles on them on the highway. Some people are hard pressed to do 12k miles a year so that puts the tires at a 3yr lifespan...not too "fast" IMO.

I do 32k miles a year, so the tires only last a year and some change with me.

Take a look at Mickey Thompson MTZs. Good road manners, Very quiet for how much traction they give off road. 3 ply sidewalls give excellent durability.

The MTZ's are a very good tire, I've got a set of those as well. Great in about all conditions so far.

I've run the Cooper STT tires and liked them a lot. Running the BFG KM2's now and like them. Jury still out on the premium you pay for the BFGs. STT should save you money and do a great job in all areas you mention.
