Rk 3.5's with 11.2 travel ranchos. 2.5 stop leaves .25 shaft at full bump. Also run JKS lower mounts.

I am in the same situation. Looking to get more up travel. Right now I have 3.5" of up travel on a RK 2.5" springs in the front with the shock I am using. I still have plenty of clearance for another 2" or so of up travel. I would love to get my up travel to about 5". Only way I see this is by moving the shock mounts up, really do not want to go down with them.

Sucks huh. I don't see the point of running a longer shock if it's just going to rob my uptravel. And I'm not trying to sacrifice my taste preferences/wants in brands of shock in order to just run the shortest collapsed length.

Hey Kjeeper10, do you know the extended/collapsed length of the ranchos as compared to the fox 11" travel? I don't want to use more cool, and if I did it would still stop at the same spot of uptravel anyway. I might have more uptravel but my tire would still end up at the same spot, leaving a wasted space

Also, kjeeper10, does outboarding the front shocks gain you like an inch more uptravel or anything before the shock fully compresses?

Jaker used MC upper mounts. He cut the tower off at the top. Bolted and welded the uppers higher than the shock tower. Edit for pic

yeah I saw that but that looks bad to me and I don't have that type of upper attachment on my shock. Trying to avoid returning the shocks for any reason also

Cool mod but would seem easier to drop the lower mounts.
