Default rc 3.25 lift

Does any one have any experience or info on this lift? Couldn't find it on a search.

Search again...

Very talked about lift. Just do an Advanced, Title Only search on Rough Country in the Modified section. Read all of the 2.5" threads as well, since they use the same coils. (as scooter mentioned, the 3.25 is the 2.5 coil with a spacer on top)

Pretty good feedback on the shocks so far. A lot of negative feedback on the progressive coils sagging. And a mix of people between those that don't much care for the lift/company and those that have had no issues at all and like the lift.

Also note that there is no caster correction with that kit, which is something that you may want to look into...

I'll also suggest that you start with the FAQ's pasted up top. Among other sections, the 'what components do I need for a 3" lift' Q/A would give some good info to base your purchase on.

I have the RC 2.5 coils and 2.2 shocks. I have been very pleased so far. I have also taken monthy measurements and have had zero sag from the lift.

I have the 2.5 RC lift with the 2.2 shocks. I then added 3/4" Daystar spacers and am very happy. The JK has 5k miles on it with this lift and I have no coil sag or any problems that have been mentioned about this lift.

I have 16,000 miles on the 2.5 coil lift with the 2.2 shocks and their 1.25" body lift. No issues on or off road.

Try if you want to, but if it were me I wouldn't take the chance.

I think most people who say their Jeep sagged or shrunk just got used to looking at it and thought it looked small. That happens to lifted vehicles and their owners. LOL

I have also installed a 3.25" lift and it was well thought out and put together. Its simple but effective. It also gives you the ability to take out the pucks and shrink if you need to run smaller tires for a while.

Holler at RoughCountry on here for a forum discount!
Did you seriously make that statement? You know all about my problems with the rear springs, among several others who have had the same problem. There are pictures to prove that it's more than "just getting used to it"...the coils are crap, some people just got lucky and haven't had that particular problem...yet. My point: with inconsistency like that, why take the chance..there are other options out there that make much more sense.

Well, forgive me if I sound a little irritated towards RC but after having to remove/replace springs 3 seperate times I guess I'm a little tired of dealing with their products...and sure, they have good customer service (depending on who answers the phone), but as for me, I'd rather purchase a kit that is of a higher quality even if it costs more so I won't have to keep replacing parts...call me crazy.

Another thing to remember is that these are progressive springs and not linear springs. The top coils are made to compress at a lighter load. Mine compressed as soon as I put them on my Jeep but have not sagged at all, as I have documented. Not only have they not sagged, but my jeep sits perfectly level. I am happy with my Rough Country lift. The lift has done a great job on road and off.
