I didn't like my 4.10s with 35s, so upgraded to 4.88s. I have a manual and this seems to be just fine. Much more responsive than before.

I couldn't stand the 4.10s with 35s either. I only had them in that situation long enough for the 5.13s to get here. (I have an automatic as well.) Where I'm at in Georgia it's hilly and my poor transmission was constantly shifting in and out of overdrive.

The only negative I can speak of with the 5.13s is that you run higher RPMs. You can still easily do those highway speeds, but I prefer not to exceed 65 to keep the mileage good. Mileage seems to be maximized between 55-60 with these gears which really is fine for me. Again you can do higher without no other consequences than a little less mileage. My mileage is better now then it was with the stock gears.

I run 35s with 4.10s, auto on my '03 TJ Rubi. The only time I thought it was too much was in the mountain trails in CO. There were times I'd have to shift to 4lo where I don't think I would have had to with 33s. Would lower gears be better, absolutely, but if you're set on 35s, give it a try first. I'm considering going with the same setup on my new 4 dr. JK.

Auto, 4:10's, 35's and no plans to regear anytime soon. The power is fine(turn overdrive off on long hill climbs), only lost a mile, maybe two per gallon, so I am quite content.

I love my 4.10's and 35's. Made my rubicon 6speed feel geared properly. Before I felt the Jeep was geared too low with 32's. I corrected the speedo with Hypertech, and the Jeep feels smoother on the go pedal, during shifting the manual and everything just seems right with the Jeep.

I have wheeled this way also and the 4:1 in the rubicon makes up for everything! I dont even have to touch the go pedal. Just let off the clutch and then slowy let off the brake and it crawls all day long.

Regearing is by FAR the last thing on my mod list.

3 thumbs up for rubicons on 35's

I was told that the JK was built to perform at the higher RPM range...

That is one reason with my Auto on 35's I am running Superior 5.13's!
Makes a big difference on grades and hi-way driving. No more fighting the pedal to make the rig roll......

With the stock 32" on my Rubicon my manual would climb anything with it in first and low range and no gas at all. But it won't now with 35" it stalls everytime. I will be regearing to 5:13 for just that reason and the passing power and inclines suck big time now...

I guess I'll be looking forward to that soon...
