Question RE vs AEV lift

Hey guys Im stuck. I am looking at two different 3.5" lifts. jeepers with these lifts can you tell me how you like 'em. the AEV lift in 1200 w/ shocks and the RE lift in 1650 w/o shocks. Is the RE lift better? I don't know much about the AEV i just heard about it from the offroad shop near me but they are a dealer for AEV so i don't trust everything they say about it. any advice is great. the offroad pleace by me also said with the the lift I wouldn't need to make driveshaft mods is that true? Thanks for the help.

I haven't seem many on here that have installed the AEV kit yet? I ended up with the RE lift and can tell you that for me cam bolts are not an option and tha AEV kit uses them. Look around and you'll find the RE kit with shocks and free shipping for $1649.

just for find out, does the aev kit keep all the stock control arms? and just use cam bolt on front lowers?
if thats the case would a complete set of adj. arms be more benficial, than JUST front lowers?
if i were you i would go aev heard lots of great things about the ride. i have heard that the bushing or joints on the RE can wear out but im not 100%

Aev's kit retains the stock control arms and they supply cam bolts for the front lowers.

My advice is to get front adjustable lowers.

You dont need all 8 adjustable control arms unless you are changing driveshafts are want the ability to make adjustments.

I think it is a waste to buy any NON adjustable control arms for the Jk though .

I personally am going with the aev very soon. If you think about it you do most of your driven on road not offroad and this kit was designed for that. Yes the aev kit is a lil more but you get a few extras if you get the top of the line kit (high steer kit, procal, etc.) If you have any questions call aev and they will be more then happy to answer yor questions. They also won't give you any bullshit answers. I've called them a few times and they've never said o you again lololol. Also check out there forum on there website has a lot of info on it. Hope this helps you out with your decision.

I've got the premium AEV kit and absolutely love it. High steer, spring rates, and shock rates make this thing an absolute dream on the road. Even with my front/rear antirocks, I've had to do some crazy maneuvers to dodge accidents at high speeds and never once have I been concerned about being close to rolling. If this is your daily driver, get the AEV and don't look back. If it's more dedicated to trail use, I'd say get neither of these...

As the others said, the cam bolts aren't fun to play with. Get some lower adjustables and don't even worry about it.
