The long arm kit had its problems but the 3.5" superflex hasn't had any issues. For my money their is no comparison between AEV and RE.

I would say go with the AEV and get the front lowers. AEV will be the better one for either situation as the stiffer springs and geometry that make you more stable on the road do the same thing off road, and this could keep you from rolling.

There is no brainer.

AEV Kit is the best kit for all around. Add adjustable control arms and you have the best of both worlds. Go AEV you will be very happy and pleased...

With the 3.5" kit they claim 4" in the front, and 3" out back. Depending on your bumpers, etc... your results may vary

not to be confused with the long arm kit, the 3.5" superflex kit is a good lift and WILL NOT have any bushing problems. i'm not sure why it doesn't come with adjustable lower control arms but that would be it's only real weak link.

as far as the long arm kit goes, no amount of bushing redesign will change the fact that an enourmous amount of stress will be placed on them due to the radius arm design. if you say you haven't had bushings go out, you probably haven't pulled off your arms to do a close physical inspection.

FWIW, i got to go for a ride in the AEV jk with a 5.7 HEMI and a 5-speed. on ride performace really is sportscar like on pavement and handled extremely well driving fast on a dirt track. maybe it's just me getting old but the only gripe i had with it is that the ride comfort quality was a bit too harsh for my taste and it left me feeling worn out but then, that's just me. i'm sure there are plenty of others out there who would prefer this kind of ride. as far a how it performs on the rocks, AEV was the first to admit to me that they were looking for a suspension setup that was geared more for the "expedition" type of jeep owner and not necessarily a rock crawler and at that, i think they did a great job.
