Default Re working my suspension

Since adding a winch I've lost about an inch of lift up front so it's time to replace some suspension parts. Looking for input on anything I may be forgetting.

Current set up is a 2.5" teraflex spring lift with 1" coil spacers front and rear. Teraflex 9550 shocks that came with the kit.

Going with...

3.5" metal cloak coils
Metal cloak front LCA's
Metal cloak front track bar
Bilstein 5100's
longer brake lines for the front not sure I'll need them with the bilstein's.
4" bumpstops for the rear
synergy drag link flip with the track bar bracket.

also ordered a synergy sector shaft brace and frame side track bar brace

Why 4 inch bumpstops in the rear? You'll have barely any up travel... Maybe 2 inches. What part number bilsteins? A good deal and hoses is Crown ones from Northridge $130 front and rear shipped.

33-186887 3.5"-5" front, 4" rear for the bilsteins. I am going to see what kind of rubbing and shock clearance I have with the current bumpstops I have from the teraflex kit and go from there. Metal cloak recommends 4" bumpstops with 35's/37's and aftermarket flat flares with 6pack shocks. I'll have to call monday and go through this with them.

When I installed my lift, I set the JK up on jack stands with floor jacks under the axles. Installed everything except the springs, then jacked the axles up and down to check the travel and bump stop clearances. After getting the bumpstop clearances tuned and being satisfied with the travel, I dismounted the shocks at the bottom end, dropped the axles down, and installed the springs.

For me, this beat the Hell out of guesswork or doing what "Joe" said should work.

Very good advice. That is the sure way to know what you will need. And the part number you gave me is for a 10.4" travel bilstein shock. 16.9 collapsed 27.3 extended. The most you will need to keep the shock from bottoming out is a 1.5" bump stop. But like freewill said, pull only the springs (leave the tires bolted up) and cycle the suspension. And just so you know make sure the frame is supported by jack stands or a lift while you do this.
