Put on the lift and wheels, see how the steering geometry is, how it drives, and go from there.

Edit: Also, 4.88's will work great with 35's and a 6 speed, but if's there's a decent chance you'll move up to 37's, give a good look at the 5.13's. It really depends on how much you travel on the interstate. If you consistently run 70-80, 5.13's might be a bit steep even with 37's.
Yea I do a lot of highway driving, 4.88 is a good choice. If I do decide to go to 37s, it won't be for a while, I'll switch.

Thanks!

Lift and tires, you will be good to go.
Definitely will be looking into a tire carrier as well. Any recommendations?

That makes sense. I decided to get a lift and tires based on the wheelin I did while stock.

Talked to a few people who said you will run around 200rpm more at highway speeds with 5:13's over the 4:88 on 35's, so why not? Just going off what I was told not speaking frome experience here.

There are some great RPM charts in the Drivetrain FAQ's. (use actual tire heights, not mfg's specs). They are much more accurate than getting advice from people who either don't own a JK, or own a JK but it is a different transmission than yours.

as an example...
manual, 5.13's, 34" actual height tires
= close to 3k rpm at 70 mph
A lot of people might think that is too high...

Thanks for the info. It looks like I will be using 3.73 until I get more funds. Till then I'll see how a 6-speed manual and Superchips will hold up.
