I have never lifted anything, and dont really know where to start. After you put the lift on, "realignment" is required, right? And who does that? Can I do that myself? or does it need to go somewhere? Thanks! (Again, sorry for the stupid question, just new to that aspect!)

Go down to your local tire shops and interview them to see if they can do a good alignment on a lifted Jeep. The best shops will have a top of the line Hunter brand alignment machine (I wouldn't go to one that didn't). The truly great shops will sell you a lifetime alignment which will allow you to come back and tweak it as necessary after bumping stuff off-road.

I always align my vehicles after a lift. I dont care what anyone says. Tires are expensive.

Default OME Lift

I went with OME lift, I really like it. It rides much better than stock.

I have heard 300 people give or take 1 say that this lift "rides better than stock" but I havent found one yet that will tell me if that means softer than stock? firmer than stock? how is it better than stock?? to me better than stock would be way softer and have hillary duff giving me head everytime I hit a bump.

A BB is the same thing as a spacer lift.

Your lift really depends on what size tires you plan on running. If you're going with 32-34" tires, I would go with a TeraFlex 2.5" BB. It's a really complete kit and the ride feels stock. If you're going with 35s, install aforementioned BB with a 1" M.O.R.E. body lift.

Here's a picture of SH0RTBUS's JK with a BB, a BL, and 35s. I think he has one of the best looking set-ups on the forum--not too little, not too much.

this is a sorta chicken or egg question..i have a stock X, and if i wanna go up to 33" tires(no more). do i need to upgrade my suspension to a 2.5 BB first? or can i do tires, then do the lift? i'm not made of money..so i need to space out my projects
