Rear Axle/alignment after small hit
Spec:
AEV 3.5" premium
35" boots
To keep it short:
Rear end swung out on me counter clock wise style on a snowy/icy log trail. Rear tire cushioned the brunt of the hit, but still cracked up my flare and shoved my axle over 1" driver side. Wasn't an overly hard hit, just an overly perfect one. Probably hit it 10 km/h give or take.
Result:
- bent up rear trackbar bracket that is welded to d44
- AEV track bar tower mangled beyond repair
- track bar held it's own. Straight the way it's supposed to be.
- control arms are sound
Work done:
-bent back the stock welded on track bar bracket as much I could. Still far from the way it used to be however.
- replaced AEV track bar tower with a new one. It's on where it's supposed to be and tight.
The Present:
-axle I noticed is still a 1/4" off centre towards the driver side.
-ESP/BAS light came on first time and went away. 1000km after with aforementioned rudimentary repairs done
- steering wheel pulling driver side. I don't want to take the jeep to get it aligned until I get that axle centered.
Just need a second head to mull over what's going on cause after reading about ESP/BAS light, even though I know it, it makes me realize the JK is far from my TJ lol
Pic is taken after the hit for reference to what I'm talking about. Notice the track bar tower, and the bracket welded to axle that is bent out of shape.

Well, after thinking about what I wrote down, I guess i'm answering my own thread hah
-fully repair bracket
-change the rear track bar, may be 1/4" bent
If anyone else has thoughts, please chime in!
