Claw hammers are for wood work, framing, that kind of stuff, not for Jeeps.

I have a BFH it doesn't work ether, I have a slide hammer, it doesn't work, I used the claw to create pressure on the lug plate of the axle while my buddy beat the slide hammer or BFH on the axle itself. Nothing

You need a good stout bar, minimum 4' long. We fought with mine for over 4 hours until we did the prybar slidehammer trick .. that seal was really stuck in there. ... I even tried a 10' length of 1" chain .. flick the chain like a whip and the weight of the chain works like a slidehammer. Even that did not work.

Go to the junk yard and get a scrap 5x5 rotor to use and beat on it.
A buddy of mine chained his housing to a tree, wrapped another chain around the axle, and attached that to a backhoe and yanked on it. Hopefully you won't have to resort to such drastic measures. I feel fortunate that mine came out like butter with the slide hammer.

Mine was just the seal stuck in the end of the tube. You could see the seal flex when prying on it but it would just not let go. I attributed the tight seals to years of road salt and at one point both of my rear calipers had seized and overheated the rear brakes.
