The rear is one giant piece of plastic attached with a couple brackets. It's doesn't have any metal structure underneath like the front.

If that's what you're asking...

I just replaced my rear bumper & tire carrier last week...I asked them to save the take off parts so when I goto trade it in someday I'll have the option of putting the factory bumpers back on.

That said I was really surprised when I picked up the old rear bumper as it weighs less than 20 pounds, and that was including the two metal brackets that it bolts on with.

If your looking for a new bumper I highly recommend the Ace bumpers, front or rear.

Nope, pull it off and you've got exposed frame rails.

My genright rear is close to stock weight for the rear if you're out to replace it with a similar weight item.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know.

My spare won't fit on my carrier anymore. I've looked at every bumper on the market. I can't find anything I like for less than $1,000. I don't want to buy something cheap only to have to upgrade again. I don't know if I'd rather run without a spare or a bumper.
