Default Rear Diff. THROWING UP ????

I have a 2007 Rubicon, no new mods or upgrades in a while, no deep water crossings or anything that should cause this. My rear diff. is throwing up diff lube out of the overflow tube, checked it refilled it and it is still doing it. Any suggestions???

When you checked it was it low on fluid? What kind of driving were you doing when it happened? One thought is maybe the fluid expanded do to heat and then was expelled.

The logic response/issue would be that there is too much gear oil in your differentials.

If you look up on "project-jk.com" you will see the write-up for servicing your differentials in which Eddie lists the amount of oil you should be putting in both your front and rear. Both front and rear are NOT the same amounts, as the rear is a D44.

Really don't know of any other reasons other than that there is too much fluid in your pumpkin.

The fluid level should not have changed, did the service on it about 90 day ago was not leaking and when I refilled it it took a pint and a half.
