Rear Disconects???

Default Rear Disconects???

hey i know the rubi comes with electronic rear disco but i havent seen some aftermarket ones like teraflex or jks , i only see front...does any one has them???
is it safe to desconect the front and rear swaybar when offroading???

there is no rear disconnect in the rubi. just the front. To my knowledge no one offers a rear disco for the JK. The bar is so thin and flexible that the benefit would be minimal if an unlike the front that gains 30% or more articulation by disconnecting.


It is safe to disconnect the rear although some argue that it actually helps get traction and maintain stability. Some guys have taken their rear bars off and scrapped them. They drive around all the time no rear bar. All it really does is make your Jeep drive like a boat around corners. But it is safe to undo if you want. I think it will gain you about an inch of stretch.

Something to consider. When you are off camber, the uphill springs will begin to unload and make the tilt on the Jeep even worse. The rear sway bar limits a bit of that.

I like the e-disco because I can reconnect the front if I'm going to hit a stretch of off camber trail. Makes a HUGE difference!
