the rocks are starting to crush this mount into the control arm

Does anyone make a pc that could be welded to the rear lower control arm BODY mounts to protect them from getting crushed?

Indeed, get the EVO RockStar skids. They relocate the lower shock mount up about 1.5" (adds 1.5" of clearance) and adds a skid to the bottom of the control arm, plus, boxes the OEM mount to be a crapload stronger.

EVO does.
Front
Rear

They also have a more expensive rear bolt on that relocate the rear shock location.

I have the weld on front/rear personally.

Does the EVO rockstar rear skids have a down side, besides costing a hundred dollars more than the simple weld on skids, does raising the shock mount limit the up or down travel of the suspension? Does it have any effect on ride quality on or off road? I am about to pull the trigger on a lift, but am contiplating adding this to the list, so I would need to buy slightly short shocks for the rear. But I am still not completely sure this is the way I should go.

They add travel to the shocks, especially if you end up going with the OME LT shocks (if you are going this route). People who run the RockStars, mount the upper shock to the upper portion of the mount, not under it, giving more room for extension and compression.

So If I go with Rubicon express shocks or ome shocks for a 3.5" lift I shouldn't order shorter shocks for the rear, just get what comes with the kit.

Default ORE welded on skids!

Two of the best investments I've made!
Front Off Road Evolution Ctrl Arm Skids

For ther rear I went with the ORE Rock Stars

Stock ones from the kit. If for some reason they reach full compression, you can always mount the upper shock to the upper portion of the mount.
