Rear trackbar problem
I have a 2011 unlimited with 4" skyjacker lift. I'm having a problem centering my rear axle. My driver side rear tire sticks out 1/2 inch more then the passenger. I have the jks adjustable trackbar and skyjacker relocation bracket. The trackbar will not shorten enough to center the axle. It is all the way in. I don't know what to do. I really don't want to remove the relocation bracket so I keep the geometry right. Any help would be appreciated.
Doesn't sound like you got many options. Lose the bracket or buy a new TB. is it centered with the stock Tracbar with the new bracket? Most relocation brackets are trying to give you stock angles/length, most adj Tb are for people that need longer than stock because of changing angles/length. Looks like your two parts aren't meant to work together at the lift height you are at.
The jks track bar is about 1/2 longer than stock track bar when fully collapsed. Just talked to jks and they think they didn't cut the threads long enough. They said it should fit up to 6" lift. They are checking it out for me. One of the techs there is going to measure another trackbar and get back with me. I guess we will see what comes of it.
Fitting up to a 6" lift is really addressing how long it can go. It is the minimum lift that it will still work with that is really your concern. For you it's a quarter inch too long in its shortest configuration. I would think it should adjust all the way down to stock length. I'm sure they will get it sorted for you.

FWIW, the stock track bar is pretty damn strong. I'd throw that on and set the JKS aside for now.. Or trim the threaded end of the JKS a bit. If i recall correctly, they cut threads into a solid rod so you can probably take about .5" off without affecting anything.

That's crazy man. That's exactly what jks said. Cut 1/4 off each end. Not sure of my cutting skills. They need to a good parallel cut or I could ruin the threads. I'm not that far off so I might just keep it where it's at.
Run a thread chaser down the threaded part and then make the cut....then back the thread chaser off....assuming they make one that size but if you do bungle the threads you can clean them up backing it off.
Another trick is to run a nut down the threads to the point you need to cut then use your cutting tool and the side of the nut as a flat edge guide. Don't make the cut without some kind of "fence" if that makes sense...unless you have a chop saw that can do it.
