Anybody familiar with the "Rampage Side Bar Retractable RockerGuard Step"? Anything to say about Rampage products in general? I'm also looking at one of their recovery bumpers for my new Rubi but I havem't been able to find any reviews on either.

Don't know anything able those side steps, but from what I've heard they're Recovery bumpers are great quality and everyone that's ordered one love's em. I have the locking hood latches from them on my jeep and they're very well made quality products. I'd recommend them

I just picked these up from another forum member. The latching mechinism/pin is a welded screw (maybe a #10), its a lil weak in my opinion. The drivers side is broken; either I can permently affix them in the rock slider position or in the step position; loss of functionality of the lever. Overall, i like the concept.

Thanks for the input. How do they look? Does the rock slide seem heavy duty enough?

Have had them on both my JK and JKU for just over a year now. On the JKU I have them locked in the down position cause that's how the wife likes it. On my JK I have the lock disabled to it's always up unless I step on them to get in, then they retract as they should. Spray all moveable parts once a moth or so with WD-40 as I live in MN with lots of salt on the roads 3/4 of the year! Holding up great, no rattles, clunks or noises. Not sure how they'd hold up to heavy rock rash, but for me they provide an adequate amount of protection with a nice functional step.

Default Lock Disabled?

How did you disable the lock? I'm thinking of getting a pair of these for my JKU.
