I am assuming that this is so inexpensive because it is made abroad, but seeing as they are pretty new, I am assuming that there are no long-term reviews on them yet. Anyone have issues with them yet?

mine should be arriving tomorrow (supposed to be today but snow slowed UPS), and I'll update as I go along. Hopefully there won't be any problems. If there are, at least there is a 3 year warranty and the line can easily be swapped to a new winch

Awesome deal.

In the specs could you say if it uses a "Series wound motor"

Wow, this does seem like a pretty good winch for the price. I checked it out and on the gorecon.com site it has it going for 599, where are you guys finding it for so much cheaper? I have been waiting for the right winch to come along, maybe this could be it.....

Put a bid on one tonight! I just got my rock hard stubby today. Waiting to put it on until I get the winch. Can't wait.

The only place I found it on was that place for 600. Where did you order yours from?

I am looking right now for a winch as well, and have an issue with the price of hte Warn. I have never had a problem with a Warn winch, but for the little bit I ever use one, it is hard to justify the 1000.00 they cost. Where did you purchase the Recon winch, and do you happen to know the warranty on them?
