Default Redrill Lug Patern on Walker Evans

I have a set of WE wheels from my TJ and was wondering if it were possible to re-drill them to the 5 x 5 Jk patern? Looks like there is plenty of space to do it. The backspacing is 3.75. I've heard that would be fine w/ 37's. Also, is this even a safe thing to do.

although I suspect theoretically possible, w/o the benefits of micrometers and a very solid drill press/milling machine, you would run the risk of not getting all the holes drilled right and put the weighting of the rim out of balance...

best of luck!!!!

Sorry. I should've specified that I would send them to a professional to have it done. No way would I attempt it myself.

its safe its like having new wheels again but....
its usually very expensive sometimes the cost will out way new rims keep that note we have local shops here that do it like CARCONEs they repair and refinish rims and re-drill lug patterns but their cost is stupid expensive. IMO its only worth it if you have one-off or you can't find any other new replacements. good luck in your venture

Since I'm at about $450 a wheel due to the large rock ring upgrade.I'm going to look into this.
Thanks for the info.
