in the manual it talks about shutting off overdrive to help with gearing on the auto when pulling. I think some even shut it off with bigger tires going up hill.

yeah, before I regeared..I was on my 35's for 2 years with 3.73s and OD had to be off to keep speed on the highway. thanks for the info on towing, I dont think I would ever feel safe towing anything with my jeep the way it is now haha

Like I said, I really want 35s, but I have to have my Jeep in the forest. My old lady has a 4runner that would tow probably better, but I gotta have my Jeep, so I suffer by not being able to run 35s.

I run stock 4.10's and superchip FP, 93 octane setting, run 91-93 octane fuel, set Superchip shifting settings for auto tranny, thing does fine not towing on highway by itself with OD on. IF I TOWED anything I would run OD off (light on), or I would go 5.13's and leave OD fuctional (on/light off/normal), I am going 37's in future and will go 5.13's and most likely have better performance than what I have going on now with the 35's and the stock 4.10 gears.
