Superchip plugs into the computer hub below the driver dash. All the programming is built in. Will allow you to compensate tire size, gearing, shift points for you trans, as well as pick a tune to fit your performance needs, and make minor adjustments. Run about 300 bucks...

I think I am going to go with the 33's. they will be fine for me. although I will get 35's later down the line I'm going to go with them and put some money toward wheels and other stuff. they superchip is the way I'm gonna go. is there anything I wanna look for when buying one used? I found a used one for 225 and it is unlocked and ready to go.

Make sure it's unlocked. If it's not it will cost you another $100. I got mine used. Hook it up to your pc and update the software then your good to go.

Yes, it will be a bit gutless with bigger tires, but speaking from first hand knowledge, no, sleeves and gussets are not a must with 35's. I regeared to 5.13's the same day I put my 35's on. If I had it to do over again, I would do it the same. I have a 6 speed and had the 3.21's, and even the rubi takeoffs I had before made it a slug to drive. I have no problems now, when I hit the gas, you know it!!! In first gear, if I put my foot in it, I can spin the tires. It also makes crawling a breeze. I would say get your used 35's and spend the money to regear now. Just remember, once you do it, you can't go smaller again, unless you never want to get on the highway again.

If you are thinking you want 35's you will regret the 33's. Regear and do the 35's, you won't regret it

Out of curiosity do you need new rubber or are you just at a point that you want new tires?

Automatics came with 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Only 6 speeds came with 3.21 gears.
I'm seeing window stickers of automatics with 3.21 gears? Misprints?

I see you put from first hand experience sleeves and gussets are not a must. Well if you plan on wheeling your jeep I bet more people would say yes it is then no its not. I had a 3/4 ton 44 under my yj and bent the axle tube and these jeep tubes are known to bend and crack with stock tires!!
