Default Regear first or wait?

I bought new stock JK rims and am having them powder coated black. I currently have the 16" wheels with the 29" tire and am moving to the 17" factory wheels with 32" tires. It's a manual with the 3.21 gears. Should I put the new size on and wait to regear, or keep the wheels in storage until I get it regeared? I have seen the chart, but would like to get some opinions.

Wait until you at least get 35s to regear. It won't be worth it with 32s.

I hated my 3.21's so much I regeared to 5.13 when I still had 32's. If you have a manual, like me, I wouldn't recommend that approach if you do much highway driving!

I have 32" and 4.88. Ain't worth a sh!t on the highway! lol 60mph is revin' pretty good. I don't go much...anymore.

3.21 with 32" is the max. I'd do.

I have a 12 with 3.21 and 33s auto. It's ok but planning on regearing when I move up to 35"or 37" may go 4.56 or 4.88. 33"s would be the max with 3.21

I have an 08' with 3.21 gears and was looking at running 33's. 90% of my driving is highway, kinda same question-rehear or will it be fine?

I have 35's with 3.21 hwy driving isn't great but doable with 32-33 you will be fine with that gear set It would be a waste of money to regear

Always wait to put your tires first, then regear. You may find that regearing isn't needed for you. That was my case.

Deff wait till you want 37s or bigger, till then it'll really just a waste of money. Been running a 2010 with 6spd/3.21 gears and 35" tires with no problems for a year now. The fiance wants her big 37s, but we'll regear before that as that's a fair bit more meat and heavier tire to push around. Up to 33s, it's fair stock feeling with 3.21 gears. The Jeep isn't a sports car, so if you don't like the gearing now, you'll never like it lol On stock tires and at 3.21 it still has enough pep to get around.
