Regear in Philadelphia, PA area
I am looking to find locations and prices to regear my 3.21 6 speed Unlimited X. I am planning to put 33" or 35" tires with a small lift but thought I should start with the regear. Any suggestions on shops that do good work for reasonable prices in Philadelphia area? Also what would I consider good pricing?
You have a manual, and you haven't decided on a tire height.
My suggestion would be to get the tires, see how it drives, and 'then' decide on gears. Lots of people think manuals with 35's and stock gearing is ok. (doubt I'd be one of them, but like I said, try before you buy...)
$1200-$1500 parts/labor/out the door is the average range. Some are lower, some are higher. Search around for a 'quality' shop instead of simply the cheapest you can find.
I would also suggest posting in the Staging Area for your neck of the woods.
