The cost varies by area, generally between $1000 and $2000. East Coast seems to be higher, so don't be surprised at $2000 quotes.
Look at your build sheet to see what gears you have. Usually 3.21 or 3.73 for non-rubicons, though 4.10's are sometimes an option. You can also try plugging your VIN into the research area here. It will show your build sheet if you are in the system.

Gear for the tire height you will end up with. For the cost, you only want to pay for this once. If you haven't found the FAQ's yet, they are stickied to the top of this modified area. Open the Drivetrain section and start plugging numbers into the rpm chart. (use actual measured tire height, not mfg's listed specs.)

I'm not sure about what other places cost but I went to a shop locally that does alot of drag racing and speed/performance mods. I brought the gears ans install kit and he charged me $250.00 an axle. I have about 2000K miles on my regear and no problems what so ever.
I'm located in Northeast PA, the shop is in the Dngmans Ferry/Milford area.
