Default Regearing

I recently put a 3.5 inch lift on my 2 door and now I'm looking to regear my front and rear end. I'm currently running 35 inch tires with a 3.73 gear. I was wondering of anyone knows what gear would be optimal to run with 35's. I'm just looking for something to bring my gas milage up and make it easier on my transmission. Any help would be much appreciated!

Could use more info on your Jeep but a lot of guys like 4.88's for a manual and 5.13's or 5.38's (rubicon only) for an auto. This is for pre '12 models.

Depends on a couple things... what year and what transmission?

Pre 2012 you may want to run 5.13's with an automatic and 35's. You can probably get by with 4.88's with the 6-speed and 35's.
2012, you can get by with 4.88's with 35's and auto trans because of the power and the new transmission. With the 6 speed on a 2012, you may not need to regear.

Actually on the '12 automatic the 4.10's are perfect with 35's. I'm pretty sure 4.88s would be too much.

Agree. I'm running 4.10/35s on my auto 2012. 4.88s would be a buzzbomb. You need to throw away the old charts with the 5-speed auto.

Mel over at EVO suggested 5:13's for me. I'm running 35's with an auto.

It's a 2010 automatic. I was thinking about getting 4.88's but I wasn't sure. I've had many people say many things about what to do. Is it possible to gear it too heavily?

5:13 is the way to go. Get your mpg back and a little bit extra getty up on the road plus you will love it off road. I run the same setup on my 2010 four door.

Before the lift I got anywhere from 15-17. With the lift I'm doing good to get 13
