Regearing my 2012 - Need Advice
I'm noticing I probably need to regear my 2012 JKU at this point. Sluggish, unpowered and somewhat bad mpg. I think I have the 3.17s. Wondering if I should go all the way up to 5.x or would 4.10 or 4.88 be good enough? I have a teraflex 2.5 coil lift and 35s. I drive this daily and on highway so would prefer something kind to that. Need to get this slug moving!
Any suggestions? Thanks!

3.6 most say 35s and 410 gearing give you better milage
than if you have 33s , I have 33s 410 no complaints here rubicon but the shift throws are close so be prepared to shift at closer intervals my 2011 sport was like that
I had 3.21 gearing and trailgrapplers it almost came to a stop goin up hills lol traffic hold up behind me ! not with 3.6 and 410s I love the combonation

4.56 with 35s is almost equal to 4.10 with 32s. Not exactly overkill in my book. I'm glad you like your 4.10, but that's silly to spend 1200+ and still be slugish compared to a stock Rubicon.

No. Look at a gear chart for the 3.6. 4.10 would work be perfect for 33s and good for 35s. However if I'm looking to upgrade and I have 35s, I would want to go 4.56.

ok
now tell me where you came up with 4.88 as the choice for 35s are their lots out there who have 4.88 gearing for 35s with a 3.6 ( 4.56) maybe but this is a dd you don't believe that's over kill most people with 3,73 are happy with the gear choice w/ 35s
