Default Removing dash panel sides

I've spent the last hour searching the forum for the answer to this, obviously the google-fu is weak in this one.

I need to get into the dash to wire some windshield lights. I can't seem to coax those panels off without fear of breaking them.

Is the 2011 different than earlier models? What exactly hold the panels on?

from what I have read, you turn the vent bezel 1/4 turn and it comes out. Then on the passenger side, you just reach in and push the side out. I will get a thread where it is better described in a min....

I know the 2010/11s have a redesigned interior. but for my 09, I take out the side air vent, when its out try sticking your finger through there to popoff the side panel

Special credit would be if each picture came with the part number of any special clips used to secure the panel.
