Removing Factory bolts!!

Default Removing Factory bolts!!

Hey Guys i'm trying to install my windsheild fog lights and to use the mounts i have to remove the factory bolts located here.. any tips? i noticed they were in there pretty good!!

God himself put those bolts in there!! Actually they have loctite frome the factory (blue type), just use a big breaker bar and be very carefull not to strip them.

I used a torx driver and ratchet on mine and had no problem getting them out. Not overly tight on mine!

All I used was a T-40 and a short handle ratchet.

Wow, mine were covered in so much loctite that the entire bolt looked blue from just below the head down. So far all of them have been that way; windshield corner bolts, center pannel just below the window, door hinge bolts, etc. I think my JK probably has about 15lbs of loctite throughout it.

i have one of those multi-bit fold up torx sets and had no probs getting mine out when i installed my congo cage

wrap the ratchet in a hand towel so if it slips of you don't screm your hood up
