Thanks for the inputs. That will save me a few hundred bucks too. I think the next step is pull the springs (when I have a free day and I guess bored) and cycle the suspension to see how much of the bump stop I can cut down. That will maximize my up travel. I didn't realize the white stopper will push all the way up into the bump stop cup. I really need to flex this thing to see what it'll do. Sadly it hasn't seen a trail yet since I bought it last fall. Waiting for the trails to open up next month.

The "1.5-3.5" fox 2.0:

Extended Length - 25.150"

Collapsed Length - 15.550"

Travel length - 9.600

The "4-6" fox 2.0:

Extended Length - 28.250"

Collapsed Length - 17.150"

Travel length - 11.100

Ok so lets do one thing at a time. Im pretty big on using every inch of the travel my suspension gives me. First thing is to bumpstop properly for shock length. With a 15.55" collapsed length shock you can run as little as 1" of bumpstop without over compressing your shock. So now we have a minimum bumpstop height.

Second is to bumpstop for tire size/fender type. It looks like you have stock fenders which will hurt you as far as uptravel goes. You will need to cycle your suspension to see when your tire hits your fenders. If you cut your fenders or buy flats im pretty sure you can use the minimum 1" bumpstop without fender rub for those tires your running. I run 2" stops with 37s. With stock fenders and 35s you may need to run 2" bumpstops or more. Again the best way to know for sure is to remove your springs and cycle the suspension with the tires on. Support your frame with jack stands and stick a jack under your axle. If I were you I would cut your fenders this way you will gain 2" of uptravel by reducing your bumpstop length from 3" to 1"

For the 1" bumpstop drill a hole both in the middle of the spring perch and a hockey puck. Run a bolt through so the bolthead head is flush with the hockey (use a countersink bit). You can secure the bolt with a nut under the perch or run a tap through the drilled hole on the perch. I prefer the tap

Also make sure you pull out the yellow bumpers before cycling the axle.

I also have a 2.5" RK lift on my jkur and also ran a shock rancho 5000xwith similar specs, seems like from your photo your jeep is not sitting nearly as tall altho I am running flat fenders. how much lift are you actually getting using this method for measurement?

I measured and here's what I got:

shock tower height is 12" left and 12 1/8" right. Shock length is 21 1/4".

According to my calculus, I netted 2.75" of lift in the front. Hmmmmm. Maybe I do want a 4" lift to get me another inch.

Add a small spacer and be done.

I do have a pair of 3/4" teraflex spacers in my jeep parts pile somewhere. Maybe after I cycle the suspension, I can toss those up front.
