Those of you who OWN this top, please let me know what you like or dont like about it.
I dont know if i'm understanding it correctly. It says there is no "bow system" and that it relies on the roll bars for support. So basically is it a piece of fabric that i can bundle up and throw in the back of my jeep when i want to take it off? Or does it fold down like an accordion?

I understand there is a new version (NX), but i'm not looking to spend that much money.

Any help is appreciated!

Had the orig. trektop for jk unlimited & LOVED it. Traded a friend for OEM Sunrider top & don't really like it. Thought the sunrider would be easier to put up & take down, but the trek is as easy if not easier. Yes you can fold it up & stow on backseat or cargo area.

THe original trek came w/ a steel door surround that the top wraps around & velcros to itself. of course, it also has a windshield header & a tailgate bar.

The NX version, as I understand it, come w/ the same cheap-o plastic door surrounds that the oem soft tops come w/. In my experience, these break quite easily when rubbing trees on the trail.

The NX does have much better design in that it allows you to unzip the side & back windows easily to make it a bikini top. I wish they offered that top w/ the steel surrounds. That would be the ultimate perfect top.

I also had the TrekTop for an unlimited and traded it for a factory SunRider. I like the factory top way better from a function perspective but love the look of the TrekTop. The TrekTop leaked at the windshield corners, and flapped quite a bit in side winds. I find the factory top quicker to put down assuming the windows are already out and more time consuming if they are in. The main reason I swapped with someone is that I wanted my cargo height back for the dog and gear. Not a bad top.
