My rims are 17 x 8 Cragers and the tires i want are 35 x 12.5 km2. The spec site says the rim has to be at least 8.5 But i could have swarn ive seen people on here with thos etires on 8 inch rims. THe pro comp steelies are 17 x 9 but have 4.25 backspacing is that ok? or will my cragars be fine?

I run 35x12.5R17 KM2s on 17x8 series 97s no problem - as do a lot of other people. 17x9 would be fine too, but 17x8 should be just fine.

x2 you should have no problem with that setup. I have been running a 12.50 on an 8-inch wide rim for a while now (since October 2007) with no problems.

You'll be just fine. You could squeeze it on a stock 7" wheel and still be fine.

there will never be problems you could run it on a 6 inch rim the problem comes in on how the tire wares down. When you run a really skinny rim with a fat tire like a 12.5 or 14.5 ect, all you have to do is keep the PSI down in your tires so it does not wear the centers down on the tire but the down side is is you run llow PSI then your gas will suck
If you are running 35 PSI your tires and setup is perfect besides highway driving you will not ever run a tire of a rim but you could on the trail if enough pressure is on the tire and it spins of but thats also why we have beadlocks
so pretty much just check you PSI and how your tires wear out and you should be good

Ok sounds great i mean its a half inch off so it can't be that horrible and I planned on running them under 30 pounds anyway. Thanks!

Sorry to jump in with another question. But how wide is the stock Sahara wheels? Could I put 35's on them? Obviously I'm not experienced with this.
