Yes you can because they r 7.5 wide. I think its not a saftey issue moore of a tread wear issue

If you get too narrow or wide you can run into bead sealing issues and handling issues because the sidewall is being forced in or out too far, but being 1/2" narrow shouldn't cause any problems.

The only concern I would have is any time you do something outside of the manufacture's limits, you give a sleeze-ball lawyer a ton of ammunition if something should go wrong and you hurt someone. 1/2" is probably not going to make a big difference, but it IS outside of the recommended limits. Do you really want to risk it? Your choice.

and honestly if your trying to save money you should go on and go to 4 wheel parts and buy the combo lift, tires, and wheels with all free installation and then they do a checkup but thats the only way i would buy from there

Well i think that could be said about any modification you do to your vehicle. Whether you install your lift yourself or install a rock bumper your self "they" will always find some way to nail your arse to the wall. But my concern is safety. I do not want to hurt anyone or risk injuring my little boy. If its tread life then no biggie, if its safety then ill have to get a diffrent rim :(

And here is another thing i dont get, im debating on these 2 tires. the procomp XMT and the BFG km2's. Now the 35 x 12.5 17 PRO Comps smallest recommended width is 8 while the km2's have to be 8.5 so frustrating. i jsut dont know what the better tire is. I know the Pro Comps are 40 dolalrs cheaper a piece and thats noce but i dont want to jeperdize quality.
