Are the gears the same for a Rubi 44 and X 44? By that I mean can you put Rubi 4:10 in a X 44?

I believe they are different. I know they sell 44 gears and Rubicon 44 gears with different part numbers...

Do you know why they have different part number for the front and rears for the Rubicon vs. the standard 44?

Well only the Rubi has the 44 in front and rear. X and Sahara has 30 front and 44 rear...

Right, the front on an X vs. a Rubicon are obviously different, but when I got my gears there was a different part number for the rear if it was a Rubicon vs. non-Rubicon. I figured that since there were different part numbers there must be some kind of difference.

Hmmm, I wonder why they're different part number then.

Kinda confusing.

Something to do with the shaft splines?

Rubi rear 44 - 32sp
Rubi front 44 - 30sp

X/Sahara Rear 44 - 30sp
X/Sahara Front - 27sp
