Ring/pinion help
2012 jku Sahara. So rear Dana 44 gears crapped the bed. Dunno if it's from wife slamming into jersey barrier last year or not but dealer says it's just chewed up metal inside. Went from 3.21's to 4.56's a few years back. Asked summit if this was the replacement I'd need https://m.summitracing.com/parts/YGA-24037
They said yes. Turns out it's not. Won't fit apparently. Any idea of what I need? Wont be able to talk to tech til tomorrow morning

You need the rear JK D44 R&P .. They are bigger and thicker then the old D44. The ring is 8.8" rather then 8.5".. Both the Rubicon and non Rubicon take the same R&P and pinion seals and bearings, only the carrier and carrier bearings are different.

ok, thanks for the help. I'd rather not give them any more business. after live chatting with summitracing and have them admit their mistake in telling me it was the correct part they wouldn't refund the $50 overnight shipping I paid. then they implied that I was wrong and must've not had 4.56's or else the pinions would have fit. gonna give Northridge a call once they open.
