RIPP Gen II Issues
Its not a GEN2 kit - the hardware is GEN2 the electronics are older GEN1 - This kit was originally destine for a tuning shop and somehow got into the end users hands without tuning. He has a 2011 so the tuning shop was going to put the two kits together.
However - we have been given the opportunity to send him our newest 2011 solution - he will keep us posted.

I bought a supercharger system from RIPPMODS and to be honest it was one of the best investments ever. I had a big issue due to the dealer i bought it through, Lunatic Customs. And there was some confusion. But Ross being the stand up guy he is completely fixed all the issues I had. He went above and beyond. He was so confident in his product he shipped it to me overnight and didnt even require me to put a card number on file for a deposit. All i can say is despite the problem i had and the confusion, Ross is truly a man of his word and puts out a top notch product. I just wish i could do more for him after all the help he gave me. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN BUYING ONE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

WHEW lots of reading but very intresting to see all of the glitches and well effort that RIPP is putting into their product with customer service.
i am still considering getting a RIPP supercharger for my 2010 JEEP JK 6speed but i was wondering this hesitating of acceloration is that just on the jeep's that have the Auto transmisssion or does this issue go w/ the ones that are 6speed as well?
I have looked at other jeep forums and its like a cluster fuck of information to read but its good information with all the tiny glitches people have with the RIPP supercharger but mainly what i have observed it to be is mainly everyone is happy with their SC and i'm happy for.
I have looked also in to the whole 4BT cummings diesel swap but thast a bit too expensive and a bit of a huge headache.
I am very excited to get the RIPP SC its just pulling the trigger to do it.

As it stands at the moment, yes I have more power, but I also have quirks that were not present prior to the supercharger install. RIPP is working with me, but I have had my problems since April of this year. I have heard everything from I'm using contaminated fuel, to my manifolds must be cracked, to damaged spark plug wires. Also have been told several times since April that my vehicle is the only one in the world with these issues - very depressing (With those odds I should probably go buy a lotto ticket).
RIPP has not abandoned me though, and is continuing to seek a solution that will sort this all out (we're actually in the middle of some "tweaks" at the moment). Hopefully I'll have good news to report in the near future.

He called our tech line and was very grateful and has been unraveling the threads he posted on in an effort to make it up... it was just one big miscommunication and we totally understood his literal anger. Especially reading all the good threads on us...
The 6 guys in this forum (and this forum only) are unique as they are experiencing similar load variants - we are moving in a different direction with them and hope to have them straight soon. Nearly all our clients simply install and go and do not experience anything like this thread out lines. But that doesn't mean we will ignore the ones that do.

thank you for the reply, that doesnt seem to bad but.. other than the mild hesitation,
that really sucks for everything else that has gone wrong. i hope things get better for your jeep.
i guess im just waitin till all the bugs are fixed on the ripp supercharger till i take the plunge and get it.

My 6spd is experiencing some mild hesitation - almost like a momentary drop out during moderate acceleration (these are in the tenths of a second kind of sensation - very brief). Also something is askew when I first start the Jeep in the morning until engine warms up, and apparently unlike others, I lost fuel economy. Good news is RIPP has addressed the 3-crank start issue for many of us, as well as lessened the severity of surging while in cruise control.

I have read the entire thread, but thank you, i have noticed as you said just a handful of people out of the hundreds of kits sold,
i just hope that whenever i do get the kit that none of these issues will happen for me.

Search is your friend. Read the entire thread first and you will find out all you need to know about these issues.
But no. You may never have a problem with your kit. These problems are isolated to a small handful of people. There is no one year affected. This is an issue that affects less than 1% of all the kits sold.
