I generally run 93 octane, but you can run 91 no problem. I wouldn't run lower octane since cylinder pressures can cause detonation.

I hope one of the kits is yours. That would be neat to have a pic of your kit before it was shipped.

That's quite a mileage increase, and getting a bunch more usable power to boot.... The RIPP supercharger kit is on my want list, but I'm going to have to wait until i get a bit closer to pay off before i can pull the trigger on the kit. Until then I'll keep watching the RIPP site and reading about them on the forum.

Hey Gang, I thought it would be fun to create a slow-motion video of my RIPP SuperCharger run that I posted above with my original SuperChips Tow Tune run superimposed on top. It is nice to see the two runs side-by-side slow enough to actually see what is going on.

Up to about 20 MPH, the SuperCharger was only about 1MPH faster; however, as the RPM's and speed climbs, the delta between the two grows. The RIPP was about 6 MPH quicker and 3 seconds faster on the 0-60 run. I'm confident I would be faster if the shifting pressures were increased and the torque converter would unlock/lock quicker. I lose 1600 RPM when it shifts from 1-2. I'm going to try to tweak this on the Dyno and see if we can improve transmission performance.

Here's the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4--NnLJaEk BTW, I won my first city race today! It blew the doors off of a V8 Grand Cherokee. The guy wasn't expecting me to blast off like a rocket. The look on his face at the next light was priceless.

The Diablo is using the stock shifting points of 5600 RPM. I do want to wind it out to 6K if it doesn't cause any problems. They can also fiddle around with the torque converter pressures, which will effectively change gears quicker.

Yeah, 6MPH doesn't sound like a lot, but it is. 3 seconds difference in performance is huge. I can't think of anything else I could bolt on that would make such a material difference. I day's worth of work completely transformed the Jeep.

RIPP is learning the thresholds of the stock trans - RIPP is going to play it safe -

Gang, I just started a new treat talking about my experience with the RIPP thus far. I wrote a bit about installing it and posted my videos in one spot. I Dyno'ed the Jeep this weekend. We were able to get a ton more power out of it. I'll post my results in the other tread when I get a chance to write about it.

Here's the link to my other post.
