Is the measurements for the arms off in the instructions to have the castor so far off or are the installers creating the link to coil issue. I'm doing my install and I'll make sure arms are measured correctly, but if the arm lengths need to be altered from the instructions I'd like to get right the first time.
Don't let it stop you. I have been running my JKU for several thousand miles and flexed my front axle to the limit and I have had zero issues. I have the Max Travel setup and it is awesome!! Dot think you can beat it for the money! It is a very complete lift, only thing missing is the bump stops which need to be factored in after lift is installed anyways.

Yea i don't care my link has a lil more room then the pics in the thread but I still need an alignment so it should help. This kit is awesome you'll love it just like I do. The only thing I should have done was get the long arm but it's ok it's upgradable so maybe in a yr or so.

Have to say Im tending to agree with your positioning.

Last thing I want to be doing is having a lift halfway on, and having issues such as this, then getting so disappointed, I want to switch to a new brand, but being stuck.

Ive not seen a response to this issue in this and the following post . Seems to me to be a control arm length issue, but Im not seeing RK providing any input here.....

Any chance RK can provide some tech input? I want to be assured that this wont be a problem if I go with RK.

x3, want to know what specifically needs to be done (tech support) would love to give this brand lift a try but worried about the spring/control arm dialing issue. Please advise...Thanks...

As for what you guys and maybe some others are wanting to know may take RockKrawler to convince you and tell you exactly about this problem but as for what I have experienced: I installed my lift and followed their measurements to a "T" and made sure everything was exactly the same side to side and I do not have this problem. I have driven about 400 miles on the lift so far and had it flexed up a few times(nothing major yet) and never ran into an issue with my links or sway bar running into anything or causing problems. I'm not sure if there could be variances from the factory but all I can say is if you follow the given numbers from RockKrawler I have had no issues and my links and springs look great and the Jeep handles great on and off road.

Hope this helps ease a few people and give some insight into the uprising questions.

Where does all of the tweaking leave your pinion/DS angles? Or can you even adjust your DS angle correctly without your sway bar hitting your coils?

Hey folks, just saw a few questions on here that had not been answered.

As for the link issue of one side being closer to the spring then the other you need to look at a stock JK. Right off the lot the drivers side link is closer to the coil then the passenger side, this is due to how the springs seat in the axle mount. Once lifted If you do not have your caster set back to stock specs or even slightly heavier this problem is exaggerated. All it takes is a little adjustment to get everythign back into spec and take care of this issue, that is why we recommend you get an alignment and haveing them give you a print out of where the specs are sitting after installing a kit. That way you can see where you need to make your adjustments and really dial in the kit.

Also we saw a question on control arms, one was how to place a control arm on a pro kit. It looked like in the picture that was posted the arm was set up with the bend to the inside and the propper way to set that arm up is with the bend up for high clearance.

The last question that was asked was are our control arm lengths right. All our measurements are a reference point, they may be dead on in one vehicle but off in another because every rig is outfitted a little differently. The measurement we give is a starting point and you may have to adjust it a little from there to dial your rig in.

Let us know if you guys have any other questions! Thats what were on here for!

Thanks,
RK
