Default Rocker Guard Recommendations

I have my lift, wheels & tires installed and now I want to get a set of rocker guards. I am looking for something that will protect the paint down low as well as protect the body from damage. I would also like for these to be usable for steps when needed by the vertically challenged.

See attachment for picture after lift, wheels and tires.

I like the way the Purejeep, Fabfours, Rock Hard and Hanson sliders attach and give lots of protection as well as a step. I don’t think I would be able to shell out the funds for the Fabfours but am considering the others. Please let me know your opinions and experiences of these or other brands you think might work.

Thanks!

A lot of the guys on here swear by the PureJeep sliders. But the install is a beeyatch. Not sure which way I'm leaning yet.

I have the Hanson's, but I can't really say how well they protect yet since they are still virgins. Steps work out well. A little on the small side, but way easier than stepping on tubes. They were easy enough to install. Finding the right size drill bit was the hardest part of the install.

I'm gettin the FabFours as soon as I can afford them. You should call them directly to see if they can give you any deals. I think they may do that sometimes from what I've heard.

Hanson really doesn't accommodate the Hi-Lift When I talked with them about this, I was told they didn't believe in Hi-Lift jacks. They aren't my favorite things either, but sometimes that's the only thing that works and the sliders should be usable as a major jacking point. That being said, my Shrockworks have held up to two years of abuse now and still look good. River Raider has a similar setup to PJ although install is supposed (don't know for certain) to be easier. I like the looks of the Treks too.

If you use a top notch silicone that should prevent moisture between the two.
