I have the LOD signature series and have been beating on it for about a year and it is holding up very well. I also really like the way the LOD bumper looks.

How easy is it to open the rear gate? How easy is it to change the tire?

While both in your poll are nice pieces and both on my wish list, I'm quite impressed with the new rock slide rear + carrier.

The gate opens easily, you just unlatch the tire carrier and then openthe tailgate. Changing the tire is as easy as taking the lug nuts off and lifting the tire down.

I went with LOD, mainly for the accessories, and the available lights. No regrets. Saw the Rockhard in Moab, seemed to be a quality product, but happy with the LOD.

Rattles quite a bit. I have adjusted, and readjusted. Replaced the rubber bushings on the tailgate twice. (They crack in about 6 months.) The bumper is great, but the swingout is a PITA. I'm thinking about cutting the hinge post off of the bumper, and getting an OR FAB carrier...
