Default Rockrails to steps ?

As I just posted, my wife and I just purchased a 2009 2dr Rubicon. Other than the extended warranty question, I was wondering about putting steps on the Jeep. Can I put steps and keep the rock rails or do I have to take them off? Also, how are they mounted and how are the steps held on. Any input would be appreciated.

Woods makes a kit to put some side rails on the factory rock rails, though I don't know if they are in production or not. Since he's a forum sponsor, he has a thread in the sponsor section. You might check that.

Rubi rock rails are body mounted.

You can install a few frame mounted steps, because it's lower.

I saw 2 or 3 members in this Forum who did it.

Wild Boar also has some that bolt on the Rubicon sliders. I have a set but won't be able to install them before next week.

That is the first time I have seen the wild boar ones. They look nice. You just drill holes and bolt them on? I don't really like the diamond plate though.
