I don't own the rockhard, so I can't compare them.
My OR-FAB cage works just fine. I haven't had any problems since the day I installed it.

Does yours bolt in or did you weld it in? If anyone has their bolted in, do you have any noises from the bars creaking, etc?

Just remember, there are differences between sports cages and roll cages. The two you mention are sports cages. Although the protection may be better than stock in certain rollovers, that doesnt make the roll cages.

It's bolted. Just like Rockhard (but with different hardware). Only riverraider to my knowledge has weld in parts.

My front half is OrFab and rear half is a customized weld in one. Be careful welding on in the front because you may loose access to the inside of the dash. You need to be able to raise the top center of your console to swap out radio and work on heater. Also need to access the sides to get to instrument pannel.
I do not have any noises coming from my bolt in front half, and have no doubt that my cage would protect me in a highway speed roll over.

I did not do the welds myself....had a welding shop in Colorado install the back half, I did the front half (write up on this site) https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...r-cage-install the rear is a off the shelf kit but I did do some modifications to it. 5 point harness bar, rhino linner etc

I had a weld-in cage in my TJ. I heard noises.

Most noises in cages are not from the cages, they are sounds carried through the cages. Since the cages are tubular structures, they will carry vibration from one part of the Jeep and amplify it somewhere else.

What company markets a "roll cage"?

Most of them will be custom. Or start with a sport cage and modify/strengthen it...
