The retaining clips were taken off, but I have come to the realization that it was most likely a defect in workmanship. Somehow. Or possibly overtorqueing on the OE studs. Rough country sent me a pair of new spacers and the shop doing the work is installing them IAW Rough Country's installation instructions. I think normally RC spacers are rather good, I just got unlucky.

Got my beloved Tripod yesterday and all spacers seem to be good to go. Glad to have her, the Charger was ok but I love my Rubi.
