make sure any spacers are 6061 billet, hubcentric, all grade 8 hardware and that the 2nd set of lug nuts are included. If all this is met, they are as good as any ''name'' brand....

 

I talked to someone at Rough Country today and he stated that the reason for the lower cost is due to the high volume they sell.

He did say that the spacers ARE hub-centric and a closer inspection of the installation pdf shows this to be correct.

I think I'll be ordering up two sets of these and I'll give some feedback once I install them.

is "highvolume" the name of the chineese company that makes them for Rough Country?

 

RC lists those as a New Product on their home page. Their reg price was $64.95 and on sale at $59.95. In sales and advertising when selling a new product, this is a way to catch peoples eye. If your selling a high volume, you go up in price not down. You start off cheap to get the volume up, make sense?

 

invisible hand. maybe they are trying to feel out what the market is willing to pay for the spacers. Guarantee that if demand is high the price will go up until it hit the price quantity equilibrium. Just like MK said.

 

been running these spacers for over 6k miles. no issues.

 

Just so you know, I'm not blasting their spacers. I just don't care for people lying in their sales speech. He shoulda said " Hey our spacers are of great quality and this is our intro price for a limited time only". But, again, they're salesmen, so......
