Dont take this the wrong way but if you are that much of a cheap ass you are willing to guinea pig a new maybe great maybe crap wheel spacer thats failure could injure you or your family or friends or hell even a random guy like me in the other lane.... then you deserve whatever happens to you. Face it RC is not known for incredible quality(I am not saying they build junk) they are known for being the cheapest. A coil spacer is a coil spacer, but if a wheel spacer fails you could be f'cked. I would pay the $50 more for the spidertrax that specialize in them and only consider the RC ones after they have been on the market a while and other idiots tested them.

Just my opinion... I have no wheel spacers, and have never used wheel spacers. I would be 100% comfortable with a set of spidertrax under my rig though.

What a well thought out response.
Thank you for your insightful information.

I guess then a better question would be...does anyone have first hand experience with RC spacers failing...or for that matter TeraFlex or Spidertrax-type spacers, ones that use a different set of studs and bolts rather than just, in effect, shortening the studs on your hubs now? I have heard of those failing...I also have heard of only one set of the billet-style spacers failing and that was only because they were severely over tightened by a "friend" of the user.

I think those ones that shorten the studs on your hub are the ones that have given spacers a bad name. The only reason I went with spidertrax is because they've been making the wheel spacers for the longest and I know several people that have put thousands of miles on them with no repercussions.

I have a few thousand miles on my teraflex spacers with no problems. They are steel, not aluminum. I got a good deal on them, used. If I ever replace them, I would consider the RC spacers after they are around for a while.
