Rough ride with new lift?
A few months back I added the Skyjacker 2in budget lift with nitro shocks, and ever since the ride has really been rough. I can feel every slightest bump in the road like its twisting my back. Was this a bad lift kit to install or did I do something wrong? I installed it per instructions, so I don't know why it feels like I'm driving a tractor at 60MPH. Any idea's on what I can do to improve the ride. Thanks

I have a Dodge truck as well as my Jeep. Both are lifted. I took my Dodge in for a service and tire rotation. After a couple of days of driving my truck I thought the same thing about rough ride. At first I thought my shocks were going bad. Come to find out, I did a routine tire pressure check and found they had put Max tire pressure in my load range "E" tires. I about flipped since two of them were over the recommended tire pressure. Just a thought....check your tire pressure, hopefully its just that....

I would lower your pressure a bit, but if the only thing to change was the lift, then yes, it is the shocks.
I had a similar experience with my TJ and Pro Comp shocks. With a Budget boost, your spring rate is the same, and your control arm agle is not that much different, so it is the shocks.
for what is is worth, I am running fairly inexpensive Rancho 5000 shocks and am very pleased, especially compared to those ProComp shocks on my TJ.

Thanks
Thanks you all, I'll try the tire pressure first, if it's still bad then I fork out the dough for new shocks, just another lesson learned I guess. I should of came on here first and asked a few questions. Again thanks
