Default Rubi shocks plus 2" BB... can i get by without shock extensions

I have an unlimited 4dr. Some one is selling me their rubi wheels, tires, and shocks for 400.00. Can I put a 2" BB on the rubi coils without the shock extensions. I read in the faq section that it is not recommended. Why?

Because the shocks aren't long enough, I stacked a leveling kit on a rubi suspension in my 2 dr and the ride is improved but you can tell I need longer shocks.

Your shocks will be at the end of there travel and the ride will be poor. Get yourself some shock extenders and u.will be.good. either that or new shocks, but extenders are alot cheaper.

I have a 2 door rubi and a 2"bb.

my ride was rough with the lift and my stock shocks.
so I got the shocks from zone that go with my lift.

when i took off my old shocks and stretched them out to compare total
lenght, the new shocks were just a smidge longer.
the ride was soooo much better though

so in my opinon you would be fine.
but, trust me you will want new shocks for a better ride.
