If you have a 2-door JK, then getting the 4-door Rubi Hardtop springs will give you a slight lift and make the ride just a little stiffer (which I didn't mind). I think it gave me an additional half-inch over the 2.5 inch TF spacer lift I put on the Jeep.
Technically you don't need to lift at all for 33" tires, just get spacers for your stock rims, or new rims with 4.5" backspacing.

I know at one point someone had posted what all of the spring numbers were, might try a search to see. I'm not sure what ones to use to level the Jeep...I'm one of those crazy people that actually like the slight rake it has from the factory.

On average, you'll see a .5 inch gain for every number difference between the old spring and new spring, for instance a stock front spring with 15 as the last number replaced by a Rubi Unlimited spring with 18 as the last number will yield 1.5 inches of lift. Same for the rear.

Keep in mind, if you have heavy accessories (Metal bumper, winch, etc) you will see less of a lift. I did the swap to regain height lost to Mopar Bumpers (front and rear w/ swing away carier) and Warn 9.5ti. I saw alot of sag after the winch was mounted so I did the swap. The down fall was after I put on a Teraflex 2.5 inch lift, it didn't gain as much as I hoped it would.

you will see very little if anything at all. personally, i don't think it's worth the effort.

That's harsh wayoflife... I had low number springs and went to high numbered springs and it increased my ride height about 2". My stock X 2dr sat really low to begin with. Is it the same as someone doing a real 2" lift, no. Was it worth the effort? Hell yes (for me anyway). It's basically the same procedure as a budget boost install and I learned a ton doing it myself. If I do throw on a lift (springs or BB) I'll be that much faster for having got this under my belt already.

All the info you need is here, regarding different spring numbers: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...rings-Question

By the way... 500th post!

harsh? it was just an opinion

sure, you will definitely see more lift on a 2-door with 4-door rubi coils and if you really got as much as 2" when all was said and done, what can i say, more power to you. i personally have not seen it and for me, it wouldn't be worth the effort. but, that's just me.

OK, maybe not harsh... but the experience was worth the effort for me and cost barely anything. Everyone has to begin somewhere and getting my feet wet with rubi springs was the confidence I needed to do something more complicated later.

To the OP, if your front springs were 13's or 14's and you went to 18's or 19's, you will notice a difference. Again, not at all like 2.5" lift with coils, but for me it's noticeable.

So, I now have before and after pictures to prove my point and provide guidance for others who have the chance to move up even 1 number. Bear in mind that I have the XHD bumper with an XRC-10 winch with steel cable (lots of weight, )

Before, with the 16's, right at 24 and 11/16"

After, with 17's, right at 25 and 1/8"

So yes there is a difference in going up just 1 coil number. If you have the stock bumper then you can expect to see more gain than what I picked up since I have easily 150lbs sitting on the front of my Jeep.
