I don't think you will be disappointed with either kit. I have the RE and it feels just like it did when i drove it off the lot (stock). Honestly, I cannot tell the difference. I just figured Jeep chose Rubicon as a business partner for a reason...

With all that said, I am having a problem with one of the tabs that holds the sway bar link. Someone else started a thread with the exact same problem soooooo... https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/help-bent-bracket-disconnects-69882/

also got the rubicon express kit. no complaints but i have a few friends with the teraflexand no complaints there either. both are great lifts. if i could do it again id go with the teraflex just for the customer service. as stated earlier where else can you go and talk to a manufacturer of your lift in 15 minutes?

im running the rubicon 4.5 la, have been very pleased with it. i have only had one problem with it aand thats the sway disco, yea that was my thread started . the onroad rid has ben great, offroad has been great. very good flex. i had the same problem before getting it, no one ever talked about rubicon, but they have been around for some time now making lifts for jeeps. as far as customer service, rubicon is not a sponsor on this site that i have seen, but anytime i needed help, just a phone call away and have always taken care of me. remember one thing, teraflex is a sponsor on this site so u know they will give input for their product. now with all that being said, i am planning on at the end of this year ripping my rubicon lift off and installing teraflex with the evo setup front and rear unless something even more wicked comes out by then. so maybe this will help some.

I'm also running the RE4.5 lift. These are the two kits i was considering when I started looking. I called a shop a few hours away from me to order in the Terra flex LA kit .They told me it would be a few months for them to get it in stock . They had the RE in stock and on sale. I have no regrets with the RE kit but on my next JK I think I will try out the Terra flex set up .

Go with the Teraflex kit! I am also biased, but I did a lot of research and was looking for the best all around kit, flex and quality, and I found it in Teraflex.

I LOVE my RE kit. I know it'll seem hard to believe but my Jeep drives BETTER with the RE 4.5 LA kit and 37's than it did stick. It just feels a lot more solid and stable at any speed. Off road, it has done things I can't believe and I have had A LOT of different kits on a lot of different Jeeps. The customer service I have had with RE in the past has been stellar and I will do business with them as long as they continue the quality and customer service they have always had.
Another thing, I spoke with someone at Jeep R&D at Moab last year and they told me first hand that the RE LA kit, in testing performed BETTER than the stock JK through the slalom course by like .5 or something like that. Between that and the durability that is why they decided to use RE as Jeep option and rebadged it with THEIR NAME!
I have nothing against TF at all and I'm sure with the great reviews it is a great product, I'm just tellin what I know about why I chose to go with RE and will ALWAYS go with RE.
Good luck in your choice.
