So i picked up some Rubicon Rails on craigslist for 100 bucks today.

I want to add to the rails. I want them to look like the addon from jeepswag but I don't want to pay 200 bucks. I can weld and fab them up but have a few questions.

1. What size and type of tubing to use also cost.
2. Can a muffler shop bend the tubing or will it require a bigger bender.
3. How far for the bar to stick out past the rail.
4. How long to make the bar.
5. What do you think the cost will be.
6. Should the rail come straight out or up at and angle.
When I get around to doing this I will post a how to.

Where are you at? I know a guy who is doing this too....he has already made them!

Try Woods at JeepSwag he's got the tubes that weld up to the Rubi rails...one of the guys in our area just did them and loves them.

That is the look I want just want to fab them myself. I am trying to see if I can do it quite abit cheaper that 200 bucks.

 

you dont want them to stick out to far. They will give teh rail leverage.

To bad you cant fab up a away to to make the rubi rails stronger and add the rico PSC step. I love the look but hate the levrage. Maybe body mount tabs?
